A busy week can still lose money

September 10, 2026

A carrier can finish the week with every truck moving and still not know which unit paid for itself. The rate confirmation says the load was worth a number. Fuel hits a card statement later. The shop bill shows up in a text. None of those pieces sit on the truck, so the week looks busy and the books stay blank.

The usual pile is email for the rate con, a photo of the POD from the cab, and a fuel report that is a week behind. Someone adds the rate into a spreadsheet. Someone else forgets the lumper. The truck that deadheaded home looks as profitable as the truck that ran a short, expensive lane.

The fix is not another summary of the whole fleet. It is one place where the rate, the miles, and the expenses land on the same unit. Then a quiet loss shows up before the month closes. A truck with fuel and no invoiced loads can be in the red even when the company total still looks fine.

FleetCon is built for that check. You pick the truck, upload the rate confirmation, and confirm what was read before it becomes a load. Expenses stay on that truck. The dashboard is company profit and profit by truck, not a second copy of the same total.

This is books, not a promise about what the week will earn. The numbers are only as current as the documents and expenses you put in. We do not file taxes, and we do not fund the load.
